Step inside our kitchen for an afternoon of culinary play.

An intimate, hands-on journey through flavour, wine & craft, hosted by owner & head chef Mark Mills, along with his wife Ruth, in the new Plough Marquee kitchen and dining room.

Specifically designed to satisfy your food & wine curiosities, sprinkled with laughter throughout the afternoon as the main ingredient.

What do I need to bring to the Cooking Class?

Just bring your curiosity, a healthy appetite, and a dash of fun – we’ll supply the rest. 

An apron helps keep flour off your shirt and onto the gnocchi. If you don’t have one, you can purchase a Plough apron when booking. It’s the perfect keepsake (and bragging rights) from your day in the kitchen with Chef Mark.

What time does the Cooking Class start?

We have a lot to get through, so we will open the doors at 11.45am with a glass of bubbles on arrival, and the first Lesson to commence at 12noon.

House-made gnocchi (of which you will be kneading) with Napoli sauce and freshly baked focaccia.

ELEVATE YOUR PRIVATE DINING AT THE PLOUGH

Welcome to The Gallery

Our private dining room is perfectly suited for 8 to 20 of your nearest and dearest.

Think of it as a dinner party with none of the prep and all of the sparkle.

Available Monday to Friday. Bookings are a must!

How much does it cost?

Lunch or dinner in The Gallery starts at $95 per adult for a 3-course Menu. You can opt for matched wine for $35 per adult.

(We have a minimum of 8 adults required for this exclusive dining room.)

Or perhaps add the ultimate in timeless indulgence: canapés and bubbles in our historic Stables, beneath the Egyptian chandelier.

What about the drinks?

Leave it to us to pair your dishes with wines that love your food as much as you do! Or you may prefer to order off our extensive Wine List. Or a bit of both!

What is on the menu?

You create your menu with Head Chef Mark Mills. If you want to add some extra decadence, you simply request it, and we will provide you with a quote.

Any dietary requirements can easily be accommodated.

What about predinner drinks?

Start your evening with canapés and bubbles beneath the Egyptian crystal chandelier in our Historic Stables. Then let us lead you into The Gallery for a meal that is part feast/part memory-maker.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of guests?

The Gallery is ideal for up to 20 guests, ensuring maximum comfort for everyone. If you are fortunate enough to have more guests, we can relocate you to the main dining room in our historic bluestone hotel, where our open fires will be roaring for your enjoyment.

The minimum number of guests is strictly 8 adults.

Pizza & Pinot

EVERY FRIDAY & SATURDAY, 4pm to 5.30pm

Choice of 2 hand-stretched Pizzas + 2 Pinots or Pot or Pepsi

One pizza per person. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. No takeaways.
